Oklahoma

Located in the south central part of the United States, Oklahoma shares borders with Arkansas, Colorado, Kansans, Missouri, New Mexico and Texas. Forests cover 24 percent of the state. In addition, Oklahoma has more man-made lakes than any other state and more than a million surface-acres of water.

OklahomaThe United States Census Bureau estimates that the population of Oklahoma was 3,850,568 on July 1, 2013. The Oklahoma City is the state capital and the largest city. Other major cities include Tulsa, Norman, Lawton, Edmond and Moore.

The Oklahoma State System of Higher Education oversee public higher education in the state, and comprises 25 colleges and universities – including two research universities, 10 regional universities, one public liberal arts university and 12 community colleges.
